🎮 Nvidia vs. AMD for Wukong
- Nvidia (RTX 4070 Super): Highly recommended for this game. Black Myth: Wukong features full path tracing (ray tracing) and is optimized for Nvidia’s DLSS 3 and Frame Generation. Using DLSS gives a much cleaner image and higher framerates than AMD’s FSR in this specific title.
- AMD (RX 7800 XT): Excellent if you want raw rasterization performance, 16GB of VRAM for general longevity, and a budget that allows for premium secondary components (like a modular Gold PSU and a quiet dual-tower cooler).

- 1440p High/Very High: ~65–80 FPS (with FSR Quality + FSR Frame Generation).
- Note: Ray Tracing is not recommended on this card in Wukong as it severely degrades performance.
💡 Important Purchasing Tips in Norway
- Compare Prices: Always run the parts through Prisjakt.no before purchasing. Retailers like Komplett and Proshop run weekly sales, and you can often find one of these parts discounted by 10-20%.
- Check B-Grade / Demovarer: Both Komplett and Proshop have a “demovare” (outlet) section. Buying a returned graphics card or motherboard here can save you 500–1,000 kr with the same standard warranty.
- Operating System: Windows 10/11 is required. You can download the installer for free from Microsoft and buy a budget OEM key online for ~150-200 kr.
🎮 Performance in Cyberpunk 2077
Yes! Both configurations are highly capable and will run Cyberpunk 2077 beautifully at 1440p resolution.
- Nvidia RTX 4070 Super Build:
- Without Ray Tracing: ~100+ FPS at 1440p Ultra (using DLSS Quality).
- With Ray Tracing/Path Tracing: ~70–85 FPS at 1440p Ultra with Full Ray Tracing / Path Tracing (RT Overdrive) enabled, by using DLSS 3.5 Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction. This setup delivers the absolute best visual experience in Night City.
- AMD RX 7800 XT Build:
- Without Ray Tracing: ~90–100 FPS at 1440p Ultra (using FSR Quality).
- With Ray Tracing: ~50–60 FPS at 1440p with Ray Tracing set to Medium/Low (using FSR upscaling and Frame Generation). Full Path Tracing is not recommended on this card due to the heavy performance hit.
